the REVOLUTION
Hamilton builds casters and trailers that move NASA rockets, automate Ford F-150 production lines, and tote all sorts of highly complex applications.
So we were floored when the company told us it had been mailing a printed monthly newsletter, called "Highlights," to its 7,000+ distributors since 1960.
We suggested, kindly, that it was time to, uh, get with the times.
"The Revolution" e-newsletter, a new spin on an old classic, propelled Hamilton into the digital era.
We stuck to the strategy (they build the most durable casters) with interview-driven stories that highlighted customers who turned to Hamilton for a solution to a competitor's broken casters.
Hamilton makes its biggest profits on custom products, so we also focused on articles that showed the company's expertise in extremely technical jobs.
It wasn't all serious business, either.
A recurring feature called "Round About" informed readers about everything from the world's largest turkey (its name was Tyson) to the biggest cheeseburger known to mankind.
"The Revolution" is still going strong today. It's a huge hit with the client, and its customers who enjoy being featured. It's even received fanfare from industry publications.
