Verst Logistics: Website

I've had the pleasure of writing lots and lots of websites over the years, but Verst Group -- a Midwest logistics powerhouse -- is one that'll stick with me forever. Why? Because it was the whole package.

The ask? Make a website for its new fulfillment division. The difference? We started with strategy, interviewing the client's key stakeholders and customers to get the bottom of what makes Verst special, and find out what people are looking for in a fulfillment provider.

We took those insights and created marketing personas and buyer journeys, which allowed us tailor the content, messaging and tone of voice to the client's ideal prospect.

The result was a site that delivered on so many levels.

We learned that many prospects were uneasy about hiring or switching fulfillment companies, so we offered up free trials, built trust through testimonials, and helped them feel all warm and fuzzy through friendly, down-to-earth copy. We wanted them to feel like they were having a casual chat with an honest-to-goodness Midwesterner -- no high-pressure spiel.

By doing our homework, we also discovered all the ways people have been burned by logistics providers in the past. We made sure to sprinkle those in as copy points site-wide. Example: SKU management fees, otherwise known as bogus charges some companies would tack onto bills. Shady, right?

Finally, we made sure to hammer the fact that dealing with Verst is so easy, it's almost absurd. Handling this stuff in-house is a giant pain in the you-know-what. When you outsource to Verst and focus on your own business, amazing things happen.

At the end of the day, the client was delighted to have a website that fulfilled its growing needs.

Verst's competition, on the other hand? Not so much. Shortly after launching the new site, we saw a 224% increase in organic traffic, a 200% boost in contact form conversions, and 53% more sessions.
